Stuart Dischell Stuart Dischell, born
in Atlantic City, New Jersey in 1954, was educated at Antioch College and the
Writers' Workshop at the University of Iowa. His first book, Good Hope
Road, was a 1991 National Poetry Series Selection and published by
Viking. Evenings & Avenues appeared in the Penguin Poets series in
1996. Dig Safe, his newest collection, was published by Penguin in
April 2003. Dischell's poems have
appeared widely in journals such as The New Republic, Slate, The
Kenyon Review and in anthologies including Hammer and Blaze, The
Pushcart Prize, and Garrison Keillor's Good Poems. He teaches in
the Master of Fine Arts Program in Creative Writing at the University of
North Carolina at Greensboro and in the Low Residency MFA Program for Writers
at Warren Wilson College. "His poetry
