Rita Bullwinkel is the author of the story collection Belly Up, which won the 2018 Believer Book Award, and is currently being translated into Italian and Greek. Bullwinkel’s writing has been published in Tin House, Conjunctions, BOMB, Vice, NOON, and Guernica. She is a recipient of grants and fellowships from The MacDowell Colony, Brown University, Vanderbilt University, Hawthornden Castle, and The Helene Wurlitzer Foundation. Both her fiction and translation have been nominated for Pushcart Prizes. She lives in San Francisco.
Katie M. Flynn’s short fiction has appeared in Indiana Review, The Masters Review, Ninth Letter, Tin House, Witness Magazine, and elsewhere. Her first novel, The Companions, about love, revenge, and uploaded consciousness is forthcoming from Scout Press/Gallery Books (Spring 2020). Katie has been awarded Colorado Review’s Nelligan Prize for Short Fiction and a Steinbeck Fellowship in Creative Writing, and she’s a proud member of the San Francisco Writers Grotto.
